NetSafeUtah: What You Can Do To CyberSafe Your Teens

We are working with Utah’s PTA local leaders to setup events within your local community to address this topic of Internet Safety. A brief overview of what you can learn by attending one of these events include:

  • Learn how teens use the Internet differently from parents.
  • Learn how teens are using social networking sites (myspace.com, Xanga.com), peer-to-peer file sharing sites (KaZaa, LimeWire), and other Internet-based technologies.
  • Learn about grooming strategies of online predators and what to look out for including knowing the risks, where to get help, staying safe online, and some great sites for kids.

A free packet of information resources is given to all who attend an event.
