Request a NetSafe Presentation
At no cost to your organization we would be glad to have our professional staff present to your students, youth group, faculty, staff and/or parents on topics that you feel need to be addressed regarding the Internet or related technology safety. The format can be an assembly, faculty/staff meeting, school or community event, fireside or whatever works best for you at your organization. The amount of time can vary depending on your needs.
Topics that can be presented:
- Never respond to a cyber-bully, save the evidence, and report it.
- So what IS personal information? Protect Your Identity.
- Stick with what is real, only accept online “friends” you know in real life.
- Adults you know and trust can help you, but only if you talk to them.
- Posting a picture only takes a second, but can last forever.
- Computer security protocol – proper password use, sharing SSNs, spam, phishing, etc.
- What teachers/parents can do to create a safer environment at school and at home.
Typical Length of Presentations:
- 30-45 minutes for Faculty/Staff
- 30 minutes K-2 and 30 minutes for 3-6
- 45-60 minutes for students in Junior High/Middle School or High School or teen-age youth groups
- 1 hour for parents in the evening
