Topics that can be presented:
- Never respond to a cyber-bully, save the evidence, and report it.
- So what IS personal information? Protect Your Identity.
- Stick with what is real. Accept only online "friends" you know in real life.
- Adults you know and trust can help you, but only if you talk to them.
- Posting a picture only takes a second, but can last forever. Think before you post.
- Internet manners. Be kind online ? treat others the way you would like to be treated.
- Computer security ? logging onto public WIFI networks can be risky ? username/passwords, account #s, etc.
- Technology distracts driving. Cell phones and driving don't mix.
- Smart phones can identify your location when taking pictures ? it's geotagging ? learn how to turn it off.
- What teachers/parents can do to create a safer Internet environment at school and at home.
Typical Length of Presentations:
- 30 minutes K-3 grades and 30 minutes for 4-6 grades
- 45-50 minutes for students in Junior High/Middle School or High School or teen-age youth groups
- 15-30 minutes for faculty & staff
- 1-hour for parents in the evening
