Profanity
Abusive, vulgar, or irreverent language.
Examples:
Profanity can take the form of words, expressions, gestures, or other social behaviors that are socially constructed or interpreted as insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or other forms.
Stay Safe:
Install filtering software that will enable you to block sites containing profanity. Discuss the potential dangers with children. Remind teens that the Internet is open to the world. Watch language on blogs, email, and web sites that may be embarrassing for others to see. A good test - would your grandmother approve?
